Early Warning System for Natural Disasters is based on real-time data update that would make it possible to efficiently and reliably inform the relevant national public administrations, special rescue services, strategic entities and the public about the forecasts of elemental hydro-meteorological phenomena so that to take timely measures to avoid serious consequences or to reduce them. The SGRIPS system collects actual data from 22 weather stations, 43 agro-meteorological stations, and 31 automatic and 74 water measurement stations. The system also uses information of public transport stops of the Lithuanian Road Administration.
